Today was a travel day. We left Chiang Rai on a typical bus with the only falangs (foreigners) being the Graces. We quite enjoyed the two hour drive through rural Chiang Rai province. Chiang Khong is the Thai border crossing - very primative crossing. If you wanted to I'm sure you could wait till dark and swim across the Mekong.

Charlee got the front seat on the bus. Our luggange went on top!
River boats used to transfer across the Mekong.
Ready to cross the Mekong River.
Chiang Rai is the northern most province in Thailand
