Day 19 - Waterfalls and Bears

We headed out to Kuansi Waterfall Park about 40 minutes out of Luang Prabang. As you walk in the entrance to the park there was a Bear Rescue Center run by a couple of  Aussies. They rescue tortured Sun Bears that are used for their bile and body parts as well as bears kept as pets.

After the waterfalls we stopped at a nearby village to give away the books we bought at Big Brother Mouse yesterday. The children were very happy about the books but business first - they had to sell Charlee and Heidi bracelets. One little girl was very excited to put on her costume for a photo op!

 

 

No more overnight buses! We flew Lao Air to Hanoi, Vietnam. They don't  fly too many places from Luang Prabang as you can see.
